Dental inlays and onlays are restorations that repair rear teeth with mild to moderate decay or cracking. They are often recommended when your tooth is too damaged for a filling but has enough healthy structure to avoid the need for a crown. Inlays fit between the cusps of your tooth while onlays are larger and can cover the cusps. Both restorations are usually made from porcelain, composite resin, or metal, with the first two being available in shades that match your natural teeth.

Inlays and onlays are stronger than fillings and more conservative than crowns, making them the ideal option in-between a filling and a crown. Your dentist will suggest when these are suitable leaving you to make the decision of the material you wish to have. Why not contact us today to see how we can help.

COVID-19 Guidance

PRACTICE UPDATE To all our lovely patients. Thank you so much for all your patience and understanding since we were told to close our practice. It has been a difficult time for all, and we hope you and your loved ones are safe and well. We have been available during our normal opening hours for emergency advice and triaging throughout. We were pleased to hear the recent Government announcement that dental practices can reopen from the 8th of June. We have been working very hard to get as close to this date as possible. As we look ahead SAFETY will be the most important element. We will be using the first week to train our staff and update our policies and protocols, as well as continuously sourcing the necessary personal protective equipment. We hope we can open on the 15th of June for emergency assessments for patients who are in Pain, and provide a limited range of treatments.

As the restrictions start to ease we plan to prioritise our patients that had appointments canceled or problems during the lockdown period. It will be a slow transition to routine care and full range of services. You will notice your patient journey will be somewhat different to what you have been used to. We will be using our website, social media and emails to communicate these changes. Please lookout for these updates! Please do not come to the practice without a pre booked appointment.

We very much look forward to seeing you all soon, and getting back to the ‘new norm’
